Sheehan stages huge late rally to beat Lyman Hall

Trailing by six heading into the bottom of the seventh, Sheehan scored seven times for an 8-7 come-from-behind SCC victory on Monday in Wallingfor­d.

In the seventh, Chris Barkasy tied the game at 7 with a bases clearing triple, and after two intentiona­l walks, Josh Mikulski lifted a sac fly to left field to score Barkasy for the winning run.

Tony Sutera was 4-for-5 for the Titans. For Lyman Hall, Justin Hackett was 2-for-2 with two walks, including a two-run home run.

Fairfield Prep 8, Hand 1: James Aselta went 3-for-4 with three RBIs and two doubles and Ethan Passanante homered to lead the Jesuits to an SCC win.

Tim Pearson added three hits and two runs scored for the Jesuits.

Ben Kuja went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI single and Connor Powell also doubled.

West Haven 3, Hamden 2: Ray Gilbert had two hits and two RBIs and Gianni Gambardell­a struck out 10 to lead the Blue Devils to an SCC win. Gambardell­a also had two hits and scored a run.

SOFTBALL

Coginchaug 7, Haddam-Killingwor­th 5: Jackie Kelly had two hits and scored two runs and Emile Hatje added three hits and scored a run to lead the Blue Devils to a Shoreline Conference win.

Coginchaug improved to 5-1 while H-K fell to 7-1. Th Cougars scored five runs in the last two innings getting an RBI double from Kaleigh Bodak. Annabella Zajac had two hits including a two-run single in the seventh inning.

Valley Regional 15, Old Saybrook 1: Anna Benson went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and four runs scored and allowed two hits and struck out seven on the mound to lead Valley Regional to a Shoreline Conference win.
