Branford church welcomes new pastor
NORTH BRANFORD — Members of Northford Congregational Church recently welcomed their new pastor, John Vigneri, who led the Palm Sunday service. He and his wife Michelle live in Higganum. This is his first church. All are welcome to attend the 10 a.m. Sunday services to listen to and greet the pastor and join all for coffee hour after the service.

St. Mary School holding golf tournament
MILFORD — 28th Annual St. Mary School Milford Golf Classic will be held June 6 at the Tradition Golf Club at Oak Lane in Woodbridge for a great day of golf. Laurel Oaks registering students

The author of “How to Spot One of Us”, a collection of poems about her family, being the daughter of survivors, and the nature of memory. She'll read, then show an excerpt of “AFTER: Bringing the Dead Back to Life,” in which contemporary poets perform and discuss the responsibility of art to respond to the Shoah. BEKI's Social Action Tikkun Olam Committee is collecting medical and non-medical supplies for Ukraine. Over-the-counter cold and flu remedies, acetaminophen, aspirin, allergy medications, and digestion medicines, but only tablets, capsules, or gel tablets, not bottled liquids — are requested.
