David McCabe Welch

David McCabe Welch, 36, of Hamden, CT, tragically passed away August 2, 2022. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Born and raised in Hamden, David was the son of Edward and Elizabeth Welch; and brother to Alexander Welch. He is survived by his parents, brother, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him. David was a 2004 graduate of Hamden High School. He received a certification in automotive technology from Gateway Community College in

2006. He worked as a highly skilled auto mechanic at Keating Automotive, as well as at various other mechanic shops. David loved working on cars, was an excellent cook, and greatly enjoyed classic music, especially Frank Sinatra. More than anything David enjoyed spending time with friends and family, willing to talk about any topic at anytime. He was sincerely interested in what everyone had to say. Everyone became his friend. David had a beautiful old soul. He gravitated toward the older generation. He loved talking and learning from their wisdom. David was a caring and empathetic person. He had a heart of gold and was willing to help anyone in need. He always made the time. David was smart, funny, and kind. He will be lovingly remembered by everyone whose lives he touched. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday morning at 10:00 in Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, Hamden. Calling Hours at Sisk Brothers Funeral Home, 3105 Whitney Ave., Hamden will be Friday from 4:00-8:00 PM. Interment will be Private.
