This Saturday and Sunday, Marketplace On Washington will bring vendors of vintage, thrift and antique goods to SoNo.

According to the market’s Eventbrite site, more than 30 vendors will set up in empty storefronts on Washington Street. This is the first in a series of monthly marketplace pop-ups.

Brad Kerner, owner of Eco Evolution at 135 Washington St., is responsible for managing vendors for the event. They include sellers of used records, antique home decor items, vintage T-shirts and menswear and more.

Some vendors will also be selling items like handmade jewelry and artwork.

A competition in which local entrepreneurs can submit proposals to win free retail space is another initiative by AGW SONO Partners and OnWashington to draw foot traffic and fill space, the representative said. Applications close March 29, and a winner will be announced April 16, according to OnWashington’s Instagram.

Kerner’s Eco Evolution was previously the winner of this competition. He signed a fiveyear lease after his pop-up.

Kerner said via email that the next Marketplace OnWashington will be May 11, with a focus on woman-owned businesses in the area of health and wellness.

On June 8, Kerner said, the theme will once again be vintage, thrift and antiques vendors, and he’ll be inviting members of the LGBTQ+ community to participate, to coincide with Pride in the Park.

This weekend’s event is free to attend and no pre-registration is required. It will runs from 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
