North Woods of Colchester

-

North Woods of Colchester is Southeastern Connecticut’s award-winning Active Adult 55+ community. Our neighborhood offers detached single-family homes on individual lots with easy access to shopping, transportation facilities, recreational activities, fine dining, quality cultural opportunities, and the Connecticut shoreline.

What have you missed most about serving your customers?

We have missed our events, with tours, food, and drinks! We introduced prospective neighbors to the builder, as well as to folks already living here. We also miss the handshakes and individual drop-in traffic!

Despite business being greatly impacted, is there anything you are proud of these last few months?

No isolation! Our neighborhood is bustling with careful camaraderie and a heightened sense of community. The common theme of conversations during walks around the private winding cul-de-sacs is one of how grateful neighbors are to have each other now, more than ever.

What do you consider to be your key differentiator in the marketplace post COVID-19?

Colchester has been blessed with lower impact of the disease. It’s common to see small groups gathered at a safe distance in a driveway, or outside of the club house sharing a cocktail…or a tall tale! Walking the 1.4-mile circumference of the neighborhood or the wooded trail has been a tranquil reminder of the benefits of living at this award-winning 55+ community! We have 2 lots remaining, 1 new model home and 3 re-sales currently available. 1- or 2-floor homes range from 1100-3000 sq. ft. 1st floor master suites & laundry, 9-ft. ceilings, and granite counters. This 78-acre community boasts 37 acres reserved for dedicated open space, including an active clubhouse and ½ mile walking trail!

What does reopening look like for your business?

We look forward to anyone wishing to tour our lots and homes by appointment for now. Please wear a mask, and we will too!
