The real Joe Biden

-

We all know Joe Biden has flip-flopped on many issues. He does this for one reason — to get votes he wouldn’t necessarily get if he maintained his first beliefs or political stance. Let’s take a look at just a few of his flip-flopping views.

From the passage of the Hyde Amendment in 1976, he steadfastly backed that legislation that barred the federal government from paying for abortions except in a very few cases. That opinion lasted up until June 5, 2019. For on June 6, 2019 he came out for its repeal.

As for abortion, in 1973 he was against Roe v. Wade. Now suddenly he believes it is a good decision. Why did he change his mind?

He supported and voted for the 1986 Immigration Act. Also co-wrote the Secure Fence Act. During his 2007 campaign he said he would not allow sanctuary cities to ignore federal laws. Now, we all know his opinion on those. Why the sudden change?

As for federal capital punishment, prior to June 2019, he was all for it. In fact, the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994, which he wrote, created 60 new federal death penalty offenses under 14 federal capital statutes. His Anti-Drug Abuse Act legislation also put more minorities in prison and called for more prisons to be built. Ask him how he feels about that now.

During the recent Democratic convention, Bernie Sanders came out and said Biden will be the most progressive president since FDR. So, who will be pulling his strings?

In 2006, Biden pushed for changes to help major credit card companies, mostly headquartered in Delaware. Funny, while Biden was pushing those companies priorities, his son Hunter suddenly got a “consultant’s” job with MBNA (now Bank of America), paying $100,000 a year. Interesting!
