Thanksgiving service to be held outdoors
OLD LYME —Saint Ann’s Parish invites all to gther in the outdoor Memorial Garden of Saint Ann’s at 3 p.m. Nov. 25, for a service of gratitude, including music, prayers and thanksgivings for all ages.
Social distancing and wearing of face coverings will be observed at all times. Feel free to bring your own chair or cushion. In case of inclement weather, go to saintannsoldlyme.org for confirmation of the service.
All are asked to bring a canned good item(s) for distribution to the Shoreline Soup Kitchen. Advance registration is not required. Parking is available adjacent to the church.
Welcome to Catholics starts Nov. 10
WOODBRIDGE — A Welcome To All Inactive Catholics, a six-week gathering, begins Nov 10 on Zoom, 7-8:30 p.m., on Zoom or in person at Assumption Parish in Woodbridge.
The event is for anyone who has been inactive in their Catholic faith or recently returned, and would like to take another look at the church. “This is an opportunity to be reconnected and updated in a forum where questions can be asked, concerns voiced and stories told,” according to event organizers.

Church planning holiday fair
SEYMOUR — Seymour United Methodist Church, 90 Pearl St., will hold a holiday craft fair 10 a.m-2 p.m., Dec. 8, with handcrafted items, jewelry, fashion, books, baked goods and more.
Soups, sandwiches, hotdogs, deserts will be available to eat in or take out.

Church holding can, bottle drive
ANSONIA — Christ Episcopal Church at 56 South Cliff Street, Ansonia (directly across from Ansonia Public Library), is collecting clean bottles and cans.
Grocery stores have closed their bottle redemption centers during the pandemic. Clean bottles and cans can be dropped off in the collection bin next to the office entrance at any time.

Clothing donation shed temporarily closed
NORTH BRANFORD — St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church has temporarily closed its clothing donation shed, according to a statement.
St. Andrew’s partners with St. Pauly Textile to redistribute the clothing donations to people in need around the world.
“Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in difficulty redistributing the clothing due to international border closings and other issues.
