ZUKOSKI, ROBERT S.

Robert S. Zukoski, 84, of Northford, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2021 at Yale New Haven Hospital/ St. Raphael Campus. He was the beloved husband of 55 years to the late Janice Cole Zukoski. Robert was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania and was the son of the late Stanley B. and Margaret Fischer Zukoski. He had worked as a dedicated Locomotive Engineer at Metro North for 41 years until his retirement and remained in close contact with many of his friends from the rail road’s going to breakfast and lunch often. Robert was a member of the BLE and acre. He was an avid baseball fan all his life, especially the Boston Red Sox since 1946. Robert enjoyed trips to the beach with his family, fishing, gardening, horse racing, reading the newspaper and watching Uconn men and women’s basketball. Robert was most proud of his children and grandchildren who he loved unconditionally. Father of James Zukoski, Marge (David) Boudreaux and the late Larry Zukoski. Grandfather of Ashley (Tony) Zukoski, Matthew and Olivia Boudreaux. Brother of Barbara (Otis) Goodrich and the late Joan (Al) Gensiejewski. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The visiting hours will be on Tuesday, April 13th at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue from 4 to 7 PM. Due to Covid-19 virus farther services will be held at the family’s discretion.
