He is also survived by a brother Benjamin Franco. Louis worked as a Drywall Finisher for Painter’s Local 186 for most of his life, in addition to being a carpenter and welder. As a child, Louis displayed the talent of being mechanically inclined, a skill he mastered during his life, becoming adept at building and repairing virtually anything, priding himself on tackling the most challenging projects. He was a lifetime racing fan and worked on the pit crew for George Greco at Stafford Motor Speedway in the 1990’s and in more recent years, lent his expertise to building a replica #45 racecar for veteran racer Billy Greco. Enjoying many passions, he could be found tending his roses, vegetable garden and fish pond, making wine, in his workshop building furniture or creating and sharing infamous meals and most importantly spending precious time loving his family and friends.

There will be a memorial service in honor of Louis held at a future date. The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue have been entrusted with the arrangements. www.northhavenfuneral.com
