Hamden Hall rallies past New Hampton
Bryce Anderson caught a 20-yard pass from Ethan Coady with 22 seconds left in the fourth quarter to give Hamden Hall a 20-15 come-frombehind victory over New Hampton in Hamden on Saturday.
Coady engineered a 75 yard 12-play drive in the final 2 minutes to seal the win for the Hornets (3-2).
Konye Taylor had 112 yards rushing and a touchdown for the Hornets. Coady passed for 103 yards and two scores and ran 13 times for 80 yards.
Nick Oneto led the defense with nine tackles and a sack.
Owen Thornton caught a 42-yard pass from Brian Moran and a Moran 2-point run gave New Hampton a 15-14 lead early in the fourth quarter.
BOYS SOCCER
Hopkins 1, Avon Old Farms 0: Michael Kluger scored in the second half to lead the Hilltoppers to a win. Owen Lamothe had four saves for the Hilltoppers.
GIRLS SOCCER
West Haven 4, Guilford 3: Julia Tsakonas scored the game-winning goal off an assist from Grace Nowak at 56:04 to lead the Blue Devils to an SCC win. Kassidy Carrano had eight saves for the Blue Devils.
Tea Gambardella gave the Grizzlies a 3-2 lead at 71:46. Madison Lentine tied the game at 3 for West Haven at 74:53, setting up Tsakonas’ gamewinning opportunity.
Ava Lepro had six saves for the Grizzlies.
Morgan 2, East Lyme 1: Taylor Maher scored the game-winning goal off an assist from Logan Pernal at 67:15 to lead the Huskies to their win. Meredith Healy tied the game at 1 for East Lyme at 42:19. Angelina Comiskey had six saves for Morgan. Lillian Massung and Morgan Dube combined for eight saves for East Lyme.
Newtown 0, Seymour 0: Hollie Bomba made 21 saves for the Wildcats to preserve the non-league tie. Ryan Heim-Sherwood had one save for Newtown.
