Anita Marie Della Ventura, 98, of East Haven entered into eternal rest on May 30, 2022 at Whitney Rehabilita­tion. Anita was the beloved and devoted wife of 67 years to the late John Della Ventura predecease­d in 2014. She was born in East Haven on December 31, 1923 to the late Gennaro and Carmela Cinotti Carrillo. She is survived by three loving sons, John (Virginia) Della Ventura of Branford, Thomas (Roseann) Della Ventura of Hamden and Joseph (Lynn) Della Ventura of Durham. She is also survived by a sister, Connie Carrillo of Branford and several nieces and nephews. Anita was predecease­d by two other sisters Josephine Iovene and Yolanda Cosenza.

Anita was the loving grandmothe­r of Tina (Shawn) Silver, Denise (Matthew) Zukowski, John (Sarah) Della Ventura, Adam (Nemi) Della Ventura and Amy ( Jonathan) Brennan. She is survived by her 11 cherished great-grandchild­ren, Olivia and Julia Silver, Ethan, Connor and Andrew Zukowski, Grace and Abigail Della Ventura, Gia and Lexie Della Ventura, and Lily and Victoria Brennan.

Anita was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Ladies Guild and past member of the East Haven Columbiett­es Knights of Columbus, Father Regan Council #3300. She was one of the first volunteers of the East Haven Food Pantry when it opened in 1985 under the direction of Father Jeremiah Murasso.

Anita’s Funeral procession will leave the East Haven Memorial Funeral Home 425 Main St East Haven on June 6, 2022 for A Mass of Christian Burial at St. Vincent DePaul Church, 80 Taylor Ave East Haven at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Ave., North Haven. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home from 8:30am-10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributi­ons can be made to the East Haven Food Pantry, 39 Park Place East Haven, CT 06512.
