A DISGRACED Horndog High teacher was done in by a sexy mermaid tattoo.
Investigators believed a James Madison High School student’s allegations about an affair with his teacher in part because he “described tattoos etched on intimate parts” of her body.
And a source and photo confirm that one of the tattoos was a giant, curvaceous mermaid stretched across English teacher Erin Sayar’s upper thigh.
The photograph shows Sayar lying in a bed wearing thigh-high stockings, a garter belt and red lipstick. Her chest pours partially out of a skimpy black-and-white top, and the mermaid’s bluishgreen tail wraps from her knee to her hip.
Tattoo artist Vincent Castiglia of Omega Tattoos in Manhattan, said mermaid tattoos are usually associated with sirens.
“The temptress,” he said. “The sirens, as soon as they opened their mouths, you couldn’t get away from them.”
The professional photo was apparently taken after Sayar won a contest in 2010, her posts on a Long Island social networking site show.
“I’m so excited! I won a photo shoot!” Sayar, calling herself Candy Girl, wrote on the site LIFamilies.com. “I think I am going to use it for a boudoir session.”
In another post, Sayar described herself as an “extremely attractive” woman who used to have a “slammin’ body.”
The English teacher was arraigned Friday for statutory rape and a long list of other charges for allegedly having sex with 16-year-old student Kevin Eng at least eight times.
On Saturday, Sayar and her husband, Jimmy Lathrop, denied reports that they were splitting.
“There is no divorce in our future,” Sayar said outside her Park Slope apartment.
The 36-yearold mom, wearing a tight white Tshirt and a green skirt, refused to discuss the case — but gushed about her love of tattoos.
“I’m heavily tattooed. That’s not a secret,” Sayar said. “American traditional tattoos are my favorite. I also have a minor Victorian theme going.”
