OLPH prides itself on helping to develop pride and self-discipline in each child. The school fosters a family like spirit of respect, trust and support. We help each child develop fully, grow in Christian virtue and become responsible citizens. The children truly practice the Christian values of justice, peace, love and compassion.

The school provides a curriculum for pre-K 4 through grade 8 in accordance with Archdioceses of New YorK and New York State guidelines. Students participate in Spanish, music (vocal, recorders, theory and a bell choir), art, library and physical education. The school also has a band with lessons given during the school day and piano lessons are available after school.

The school has an integrated technology program for all grades. Smart Boards have been in all classrooms for many years, and iPads are in the hands of every child. All students are required to participate in religion classes. They also attend mass and prayer services on a regular basis. OLPH offers before- and after-school programs. Our Lady of Perpetual Help aims to instill a sense of community in its students. The Nepperhan Community Center is the recipient of food and winter coats at Thanksgiving time and hats and socks collected during Catholic Schools Week. In addition, food drives, in conjunction with the parish throughout the year, help to stock the shelves of the Hope Soup Kitchen. Students also give of their time within the school with peer tutoring and service to the school community as a whole.

A dedicated faculty and staff set out to achieve high academic excellence within a spiritual environment. Most have their master’s degrees and all have achieved Level Two Religion certification.
