St. Clare of Assisi School

Excellence in Catholic Education

-

Located in the Morris Park section of the B ronx , St . Cla re of Assisi School has been an ac tive par t of it s parish and neighborhood for over 60 years. The staff and faculty at St. Clare’s pride themselves on educating the whole child, spiritually, physically, intellectually and emotionally.

Our curriculum is ba sed on the Common Core Standards of Learning. This curriculum provides thought- provoking paths to knowledge and spiritual growth for boys and girls through St . Clare’s early childhood-development programs and its elementary school.

From one generation to the next, St. Clare’s has thrived because it is a community driven school, which benefits from parental involvement.

St. Clare’s also offers the free Univer sal Pre -Kindergar ten program for our four-year- old children. This is a half-day program funded by the New York City Department of Education and the United States Government, which provides children with center-ba sed ac tivities in science, math, social studies and l anguage arts. The hours are 8:30–11 a.m. daily. St . Clare’s also provides the wraparound program, at a discounted cost, which allows parents to enroll s tudents in a f ull day pre-kindergarten.

Along with our academic curriculum, St Clare’s School values the importance of the arts, music, and computer science, creating a well-rounded student. To aid in this ef for t, Smar t Boards are used at all grade levels.

In addition to this, we of fer an abundance of programs for ever y grade: basketball, volleyball, cheerleading and bowling, a s well a s an after-school program until 6 p.m. For more information, call (718) 892-4080 or visit our website: stclareofa ssisi school.org.
