Holy Cross School, a private parochial school l ocated i n the Bronx community of Soundview and Clason Point, is a parish-based school dedicated to educating children of all races, colors and creeds, pre-K through eighth grade.

It has embraced the new Common Core standards of the State of New York and continues to strive for excellence in delivering superior education. We of fer rigorous, mandated curricula in mathematic­s, language and literacy, science and social studies. Religious education is embedded in all discipline­s. We also offer music education infused with literary cla ssics, movement and appreciati­on for culture. Our computer and technology program is enhanced by our school-wide internet access and interactiv­e white board in every classroom. The physical education program offers fitness curriculum and sports developmen­t in basketball, volleyball and track.

Holy Cross is one of few Catholic schools in the East Bronx to have been awarded a grant by New York State to offer a free Universal Pre-Kindergart­en program (UPK). UPK is a quality early childhood program offered to children four years of age. We are currently offering a full day or half-day free UPK program. Come in and sign up now.

Sensitive to the needs of the community, Holy Cross’ early drop-off program is open as early as 7 a.m. Our after-school program is i n session from dismissal through 6 p.m. It provides supervisio­n, nutritiona­l snacks, arts and crafts, homework supervisio­n and educationa­l recreation to pupils of busy parents.

Applicatio­ns for September are now being accepted.
