In Rahr form for charity
Enewlyweds got a stunning wedding present from one of the world’s richest birthday boys. Sports Illustrated commemorated the 50th anniversary of its iconic swimsuit issue with a string of Miami parties. The spree ended with a farewell cocktail reception Thursday at the Gale Hotel attended by Chrissy Teigen, John
Legend and Kate Upton. Big-spending billionaire philanthropist
Stewart Rahr was also in South Beach this week, bankrolling a stretch of parties celebrating his 68th birthday. He decided to wind things down with the SI crew at the Collins Ave. haunt.
When Legend and Teigen came over to wish Rahr a happy birthday, the Queensborn philanthropist (r.) told Teigen (above r.) — who married Legend in September — to name a charity and he’d send that organization $100,000 as a present honoring her selection as one of this year’s SI cover models.
An overwhelmed Teigen asked Rahr to send a check to Somaly Mam Foundation, which battles sex trafficking — and Rahr vowed to do so as soon as he returns to his Manhattan offices after the weekend.
Teigen then gave Rahr a copy of the SI mag with her and fellow beauties Lily Aldridge and Nina Agdal on the cover — all showing their lovely backsides. Rahr responded by giving Teigen a recent issue of Forbes with him on the cover, albeit not showing his backside. Legend joked that he’d rather be on the cover of Forbes. For SI model Upton, whose streak of two c consecutive covers w was broken this year, i it was a week of reco onciliation. The buxom b blond was spotted l lunching poolside W Wednesday with a s small group, including ex-boyfriend Maksim Chmerkovskiy, at the Epic Hotel. Upton didn’t brighten the cover as she did last year in her sexy polar outfit, but she does pick up the rear, appearing on the first-ever backcover photo. Upton’s full gifts get the ultimate lift in the anti-gravity shoot.
