DiCaprio beauty’s guy shoots himself
Cannes cuddle led to suicide: pal
THE HUSBAND of a Hollywood model shot himself after pictures emerged of the brunette beauty cuddling with Leonardo DiCaprio in Cannes, France, it was reported Tuesday.
Andrew Stern, 40, a marketing guru who appeared on “Millionaire Matchmaker,” shot himself in the head Sunday at a gun range in California’s San Fernando Valley, law enforcement sources told TMZ.
His suicide came as photos emerged of his wife of four years, Katie Cleary, 32, getting cozy in Cannes with love-’em-andleave-’em Leo, and also with “Entourage” party boy Adrian Grenier.
“My friend killed himself because his wife cheated on him with @LeoDiCaprio among other people. Cheating and lack of trust hurts,” tweeted Pace Lattin, who wrote a lengthy obituary for Stern, a friend he said “never sold out.” A rep for Cleary, who appeared on “America’s Next Top Model” before landing a “briefcase beauty” gig on the game show “Deal or No Deal,” said the pics had nothing to do with Stern’s demise. The couple had started divorce proceedings eight months ago, the rep told TMZ.
Stern, who met Cleary in 2010, was depressed and suffering financial problems, TMZ reported.
Cleary was seen partying with DiCaprio, 39, in May at Gotha nightclub in Cannes. Photos showed the “Wolf of Wall Street” actor pouring her a cocktail, as well as whispering in her ear on the dance floor.
While he was seen schmoozing with at least two other women that same night, DiCaprio is said to still be dating Victoria’s Secret model Toni Garnn and r reportedly left with her.
A source told The News the photo of DiCaprio whispering to Cleary was simply the tw two discussing work.
