TWO MEN were in critical condition after they were thrown through the windshield of a minivan when they slammed into an elevated train track pillar in Brooklyn early Saturday.

The green 2005 Toyota Sienna was speeding north on McDonald Ave. in Borough Park when a black 2014 Honda Odyssey it was following stopped to allow a vehicle pulling out of a parking space to make a U-turn, police said.

The speeding driver of the Sienna didn’t have time to stop and swerved to try to avoid a crash, sideswiping the Odyssey and smashing into an elevated F train track support beam near Bay Parkway around 1:40 a.m., police said.

The speed limit on McDonald Ave. is 30 mph. Investigators were trying to determine Saturday how fast the Sienna’s driver was going.

The 26-year-old driver and 23-year-old front-seat passenger — apparently not wearing seat belts — were thrown through the Sienna’s windshield, cops said. The two men were rushed to Lutheran Medical Center in critical condition with multiple broken bones, police said.

The three men in the Sienna’s backseat, ages 21, 26 and 27, were taken to Maimonides Medical Center in stable condition, officials said.

The identities of the people involved in the wreck weren’t immediately released.

One wheel came off the minivan in the crash. Shattered glass and twisted metal littered the street.

The sideswiped Odyssey came to rest on the southbound shoulder facing north with the driver-side mirror dangling from the door. The three passengers inside refused medical attention.

Both drivers had valid licenses and had not been drinking, cops said.

In June, Mayor de Blasio signed a sweeping package of 11 new laws designed to advance his ambitious plan, dubbed Vision Zero, to eliminate traffic deaths in the city.

The new laws will lower the speed limit to 15 to 20 mph near 50 schools each year and allow the city to suspend the license of cabbies who kill or seriously injure someone while committing a traffic violation.

The NYPD has carried out a series of crackdowns in recent months on dangerous drivers who speed, talk on cell phones, run red lights or otherwise break the law.
