Video game picks Cam

-

IT’S ONLY a game, Broncos fans.

The Panthers will beat the Broncos in Super Bowl 50, 24-20, according to the Madden NFL 16 simulation of the big game at Levi’s Stadium on Sunday.

And, sure, this is a video game, but don’t be shocked if the prediction comes true: Madden has nailed nine of the last 12 Super Bowl champs, and it’s been 8-4 against the spread in Las Vegas.

It predicted the exact score of last year’s Super Bowl — Patriots 28, Seahawks 24 — and the final scoring play — a Tom Brady touchdown pass to Julian Edelman — but even the gamers at EA Sports couldn’t predict Malcolm Butler’s game-clinching interception.

So how does this one go down? According to the game, Carolina grabs a 17-0 lead before halftime, but somehow, Peyton Manning’s Broncos march all the way back with 20 unanswered points to grab the fourth-quarter edge. Madden predicts this one to be a nailbiter, with Cam Newton rushing for a game-winning TD on the game’s final play.

Newton winds up as Madden’s Super Bowl 50 MVP, with 216 (video game) passing yards and that one score.

— Samuel DEZ A HARDY FAN: It’s Instagram official, Dez Bryant wants Greg Hardy back on the Cowboys.

Just days after he went on the record with his support of Hardy, telling The Sporting News that he “would love to see Greg back with us,” Bryant shared a photo of the two of them on the sidelines, praising Hardy for his talent and reaffirming his support for the troubled pass-rusher. “I’m behind you Big dog... You are a true talent... Instead, they try to create trouble instead of paying attention to the struggle... 76 a true beast,” Bryant wrote.
