Van kills worker in Central Park

A CONSTRUCTION worker inspecting his work van died after the vehicle suddenly began to roll, crushing him beneath it in Central Park Monday morning, police said.

The man, who was not immediately identified, stopped his white construction van on East Drive near The Loeb Boathouse to examine a mechanical issue around 6 6:40 a.m., authorities said.

As he surveyed the van, it sudd denly began to move and rolled o over the man, according to offic cials.

He died at the scene.

Police were investigating the incident.in
