Shack shakes up Citi food

The Amazin’sA rolled out their new Citi Field menume Wednesday for the 2016 season, includingi­nc a “smokeshack cheeseburg­er” with smoked bacon from the ShakeS Shack, a spicy fried chickene sandwich from the Asian restaurant­t Fuku, and a pepperoni pizza fromfro the Papa Rosso pizza counter.

“This is a dream to be a part of this season here at Citi Field,” said Fuku chef David Chang.Chan “Growing up watching baseball gamesgam with my dad was like the one experience­experien that was real Americana.”

Other additions to the ballpark bill of fare as thet Mets gear up to defend their National League pennant include crispy chicken poppers from Box Frites and mac ‘n’ cheese from Blue Smoke on the Road.

Elsewhere, the Coca-Cola Corner in right field is anchored by a new 26-footby-84-foot freeform display screen — the second largest in major league baseball. The screen will display the results of virtual reality games visitors enjoy in the stadium’s lounge. Snapshots taken in five new photo stations throughout the park will be displayed on the stadium’s Nikon board. The sign replacing the iconic Pepsi ad that debuted with the stadium in 2009 will not be announced for a couple more days because the deal is still being finalized. — Chelsia Rose Marcius
