FranDog reunion sticks to

FranDog paced in opposite directions. Russo dressed in black. Francesa, wearing a black shirt and tan pans (which he often hoisted from behind) swigging from his trademark label-less bottle of cola.

Who knows what they were actually thinking about when they looked to the top of Radio City and saw all those eyeballs staring back at them.

“Through all the fights, maybe three or four, we lasted through thick and thin,” Francesa said.

They continued pacing in opposite directions.

“Mike, where are you going?” Russo asked.

“I’m just trying to get to midnight,” Francesa said, laughing. “They asked me when I would like to do this again. I told them when hell freezes over.”

Russo didn’t bother counter punching. After all, this was a charitable (Garden of Dreams) event. Laughs followed. The Pope was on. Not on a night when FranDog was joined by such illustrious guests as Tom Coughlin, Joe Torre, Jeff Van Gundy and Bobby Valentine. Not on a night when Ryan Fitzpatrick was in the house.

“Ryan, sign the (Jets) contract,” Russo screamed.

And it sure did seem like Fitzpatrick was doing a little squirming in his seat.

Coughlin didn’t exactly steal the show, but he sure came close with his feisty side on full display. “Transition, that’s the word,” Coughlin said. “I’m not retiring, I’m transitioning. Sometimes I’m busy. I don’t know what I’m busy about, but I’m busy.”

Coughlin left the door open to doing some TV next season. “I’m looking at a couple of things,” he said.

“Maybe you could go over to
