Donald’s our worm in Big apple – Blaz

- BY JENNIFER FERMINO

MAYOR DE Blasio on Wednesday went on the attack against Donald Trump, blasting him as a name-calling, misogynist fearmonger who is one of the “least generous billionaires” in the country.

Speaking at the Democratic National Convention, de Blasio said he felt comfortable talking about their records because as a New Yorker, he is “quite familiar” with both nominees.

He praised Clinton for spending her life in public service, beginning with her post-law-school decision to take a low-paying job to secure health care for children.

“What did Donald Trump do? He was born rich and then he made a career out of ripping people off,” said de Blasio.

He also praised Clinton’s efforts to bring about universal health care when she was First Lady, and her work helping New York in the aftermath of 9/11.

De Blasio (above) noted how Trump ripped off students at his so-called Trump University — “a place his own employees called a scam.”

The mayor took Trump to task for his treatment of women. “He’s called women dogs and fat pigs,” de Blasio fumed.

He added the zinger that Trump has “degraded women to make himself feel big while showing us the truly little man that he is.”

His speaking slot came hours before President Obama and former Mayor Michael Bloomberg, and was not broadcast on most TV stations.

He received a standing ovation at the beginning and end of his speech, led by the New York delegation.

But most of the festivities at the convention were to kick off later in the evening, and the Wells Fargo Arena wasn’t anywhere near packed for his speech.

Earlier in the day, de Blasio said he wasn’t bothered over the non-prime-time speaking slot, but was just honored to be asked to stump for Clinton.
