Hoping Lamar will grasp Straw help
LAMAR ODOM’S loved ones are hoping former Met and Yankee Darryl Strawberry can help set him straight. Sources close to the family told “Extra” that Strawberry and Odom cousin Alvina Alston are searching for an in-patient facility in the New York metro area that can treat the former NBA big man, who nearly died of an overdose.
The family isn’t giving up after an intervention Friday night in New York failed to convince the ex-Laker to seek help, Extra reported.
Odom, 36, reportedly rejected his family’s pleas that he board a plane to the Darryl Strawberry Recovery Center in St. Cloud, Fla. Strawberry, himself a recovered addict, joined the intervention by Skype, Extra reported. A FORMER Victoria’s Secret Angel is no model neighbor, court papers say.
The board of the Morton Square Condominium says in papers filed in Manhattan Supreme Court that former Leonardo DiCaprio squeeze Erin Heatherton, 27, has been warned repeatedly since last August that the noise and bass vibrations coming from her unit late at night and into the early morning hours have penetrated the condominium’s common areas and disturbed her neighbors.
Heatherton, who bought her unit in 2012 for $1.7 million, got seven written warnings between August 2015 and last month and a formal cease-anddesist notice from the condo’s lawyer in February.
“Despite these warnings, (she) continues to create and/or allow unreasonable levels of noise and bass vibrations to emanate from her unit. As a result . . . . the condominium has assessed fines . . . totaling $16,000 which remain unpaid,” court papers say.
The board is asking the court to issue a permanent injunction barring her from “causing and/or allowing unreasonable levels of noise and bass vibrations to emanate from the unit” and ordering her to pay the building’s fines, late fees, interest and attorney fees.
Heatherton’s rep could not immediately be reached for comment.
Heatherton, who could not be reached, is an Ohio native best known for the runway work she did for Victoria’s Secret from 2008 to 2013 when, she has said in interviews, she quit rather than lose weight as Victoria’s Secret demanded.
The willowy blonde also has modeled for the world’s top designers including Oscar de la Renta, Diane von Furstenberg, Stella McCartney, Prada and Caroline Herrera.
Her face has been on the covers of Elle and GQ magazines in Europe plus Marie Claire and Harper’s.
Heatherton famously dated “Titanic” star DiCaprio between 2011 and 2012, even flying her to Mexico for a romantic getaway.
More recently she was dating Miami Dolphins tight end Jordan Cameron and acting as the standard bearer for Impulse spray perfume.
