Mayor’s stolen gun used in Calif. killing

STOCKTON, Calif. — A gun stolen from the Stockton mayor’s home was used to kill a 13-year-old boy, prosecutor­s said.

The San Joaquin County district attorney said one of two guns stolen from Mayor Anthony Silva was the murder weapon in the 2015 killing of Rayshawn Harris, The Stockton Record reported Saturday.

Harris was in his driveway IT WASN’T HARD to catch this thief.

When Cheyenne, Wyo., police arrived to the scene of a bank robbery, they found their suspect sitting on the curb waiting to be taken into custody, cops said Friday.

“I just robbed the bank. I want to go back to prison,” Linda Thompson, 59, told ELITE HANDBALL players from near and far converged on the Bronx Saturday to battle it out for $10,000 in prize money.

More than 220 players from around the world took to the courts in Van Cortlandt Park for the Red Bull Slaps wallball tournament.

“It's the best feeling I've ever had,” said David Wong, 34, after winning a close doubles match with his partner Bobby Lee, 22.

Kevin Calero and Harold Maldonado, from Florida, lost their match.“A few too many mistakes on our part,” Maldonado said.

“You just need a ball and a wall,” said Jasmine Ray, 33, head of the US Wallball Associatio­n, adding, “It's a New York jewel, handball.” when he was gunned down Feb. 23, 2015, with a .40-caliber semi-automatic pistol registered to Silva, a report from the DA said.

Silva didn’t report the theft until 27 days after the slaying, the Record reported.

The gun used in Harris’ slaying was recovered by the Stockton Police Department June 9 when officers responded to a domestic disturbanc­e. Lt. Nathan Busek after he asked her what was going on.

Thompson had been released from the Coffee Creek Correction­al Facility weeks earlier and, in an attempt to get back behind bars, she went to a bank and slipped the teller a sign that read: “I have a gun. Give me all your money.”
