Yto her? says that starring along her famous father in “Hands of Stone” took some getting used to. “It was very strange at first,” the 48-year-old daughter of Oscar winner confessed at the Chelsea premiere of their new boxing film about fighter and his famous rivalry with In the biopic, Bobby D plays Duran’s trainer WIREIMAGE and fittingly, Drena plays Arcel’s daughter, As easy as that might seem, Drena says she had to go a few rounds before finding her rhythm. “At first it was very, very weird and then in a way, once you get down to the work, it was very comforting and great,” she said. “I knew I was in good hands, I knew it would be real and great. It’s not something that I would want to do, that role, over and over again, but it was a great experience. Working with him for me is as wonderful as it is for any actor.”

Drena, whom Robert adopted in 1976, certainly isn’t starstruck by her famous father, but she understands why many people idolize him.

“I never see it that way, but I see by the reaction of everybody,” she said. “Definitely when that work is happening, you really know when you’re working with a pro and somebody gifted and special. so in that way it’s a little incredible. You really know, just the littlest glance, like if he gives me the look, I know I’m cool, OK, ‘We’ve got that.’”

“He’s kind of, like, great,” she said. “He gets my son to do things that no one else can do. I think it’s a really great position for a person to be in, to be a grandparent, because you’re only good. There’s no bad blood. No issues. I think he really enjoys it.”
