Cowboys up in smoke

-

The Cowboys got smoked in the second half by the Seahawks, and then Ezekiel Elliott got called out for allegedly being at a marijuana dispensary hours before Thursday’s preseason debut.

In a video posted by TMZSports.com, the rookie running back appears to be at “Herban Legends,” a Seattle neighborhood shop that sells pot. Marijuana is banned in the NFL, but it is legal to use it recreationally in Washington.

“Well, I think that in and of itself the reason we are talking about is in a way part of the learning process,” owner Jerry Jones said after the Cowboys’ 27-17 preseason loss. “But it’s not good. It’s just not good. It’s just not good.”

The video doesn’t show the 21-year-old purchasing any weed, and TMZSports. com reported that sources there did not see Elliott buy anything in the store. Still, Jones wasn’t happy with Elliott.

“Again that’s a part of just really getting the big picture here,” Jones said. “No matter if you played at whatever level, there is a picture here of interest. So again, I’m aware of it. I heard the report. I would know how he is, and he needs to look at that. And the other thing is it’s just not good.” − Amara Grautski

l All-Pro safety Eric Berry plans to report to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, giving him two weeks and one preseason game to prepare for the regular season.
