Biz un-Lucky: Thieves grab $20G & gems
A PAIR OF brazen crooks bashed their way through the basement wall of a Lower East Side building to swipe jewelry and $20,000 from a real estate firm, cops said.
Cops on Saturday released surveillance video of the suspects wanted for the Aug. 18 heist inside Lucky’s Real Estate on Orchard St. near E. Houston St.
The wrecking crew snipped a padlock on the cellar door of a building next door to the firm about 4 p.m. and made their way to the basement, where they smashed through a sheet rock wall to gain entry to the real estate business.
Once inside, they forced open a safe and ran off with the loot, which included a pricey bracelet and $20,000 in cash, officials said.
Both suspects are described as in their 30s, about 5-foot-9 and between 170 and 180 pounds.
