SAN DIEGO CHARGERS
The Chargers have problems abiding by an unwritten NFL rule: Keep your mouth shut. They’ve publicly threatened to leave San Diego for more than a decade. They were unceremonious while dismissing two of their biggest stars, LaDainian Tomlinson and Junior Seau. And now they are in a public squabble with Joey Bosa, their first top-3 pick since Eli Manning, who knew better than to sign on with this particular franchise. The holdout of Bosa, whose demands are typical and within his rights as a third overall pick, is the longest since the NFL installed a fixed system for rookie contracts. The Chargers are bullying the rookie into signing. His mom was right when she said, “I wish we pulled an Eli Manning.”
