All aboard the Wentz wagon!

-

CARSON WENTZ aced his first tough test, and the Eagles dominated the Pittsburgh Steelers, 34-3, in Philly on Sunday to remain unbeaten.

After beating the Browns and Bears, the Eagles (3-0) proved they can compete with — and whip — a top team. Now they head into a bye atop the NFC East suddenly looking like legitimate contenders in the conference. “We view every week as a measuring stick,” Wentz said. “Everyone believes in each other.”

The No. 2 overall pick in this year’s draft threw for 301 yards and two TDs, outplaying Ben Roethlisberger. He has zero turnovers in three games. Wentz connected with Darren Sproles on a 73-yard, catch-and-run TD and tossed a 12-yard TD pass to Jordan Matthews. Roethlisberger had 257 yards passing, one interception and no TDs after tossing six in the first two games.

Wentz is the first player in NFL history with at least 100 pass attempts, 60 completions, five TDs and zero INTs in his first three games.

Wentz is only the second rookie QB since 1970 to start and win his team’s first three games of the season. But hold off on that Hall of Fame bust for now: The other rookie QB to do it was Mark Sanchez in 2009 with the Jets. the night. Wilson has been dealing with a sprained right ankle since the opener against Miami. “It was just a messy play,” Seattle coach Pete Carroll said. “He tried to get out and he got tangled up. He was just fortunate.” him, I promise you that.” Game on. Ryan had reason to feel a little better about himself and the Bills (1-2) following a 33-18 win over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. The offense finally showed signs of its once-dominant running attack a week after Ryan fired coordinator Greg Roman and replaced him with Anthony Lynn. LeSean McCoy scored twice and Buffalo had 208 yards rushing — 57 more than the team combined for in its first two games. just my opinion.”
