Hardy arrested on coke charge

Former Dallas defensive end Greg Hardy, who remains unsigned after a tumultuous 2015 season revolving around his domestic violence case in North Carolina, was arrested on a cocaine possession charge in Texas.

Jail spokesman Tim Weed in the Dallas suburb of Richardson said Hardy was arrested early Monday and booked on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. He was released on $5,000 bond Monday afternoon. Hardy’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, declined to comment.

l Tevin Coleman rushed for three touchdowns, Matt Ryan passed for two TDs, and Deion Jones returned an intercepti­on 90 yards for a score to help the Falcons beat the winless Saints, 45-32. The game was played nearly 10 years to the day after the Saints’ memorable return to the Superdome on Sept. 25, 2006, 13 months after Hurricane Katrina.

l The Raiders released Pro Bowl fullback Marcel Reece after his four-game suspension for performanc­e enhancing drugs was completed.

l Chargers coach Mike McCoy said linebacker Manti Te’o will miss the rest of the season with a torn left Achilles tendon.

l Washington safety DeAngelo Hall will miss the rest of the season with a torn ligament in his right knee.

HEAT CUTS TIES WITH BOSH

Chris Bosh has almost certainly played his final game for Miami, with the All-Star forward’s latest health setback stemming from a blood clot convincing the Heat that his plan to play again is no longer feasible.
