“Mighty: I am a native of Bensonhurst/Bath Beach in Brooklyn, now living in Cincinnati. Your column helps keep me connected to my hometown with writing about people who are the backbone of the city. We used to visit cousins that lived in Rosedale (the Autuori family).

“I took my two oldest daughters to the city for a long weekend recently. We rented an apartment near NYU, and every morning I walked to the newsstand by the West 4th basketball/handball courts to get my copy of THE NEWS, just like old times.
