Molotov gal blows her top in courtroom

-

A CONNECTICUT woman accused of trying to light a Molotov cocktail in Times Square erupted in court and was removed from the room Tuesday as she tried to get the judge’s attention.

A cuffed Ludivine Baugier de Chevestre, 24, was waiting in Manhattan Criminal Court for her case on disorderly conduct and weapon possession charges to be called, when she stood up.

“With all due respect, I would like to let you know that my freedom ...” she began to tell Supreme Court Justice Ushir PanditDurant. She didn’t get to finish because officers led her from the courtroom.

“Wait, wait, wait!” de Chevestre said. “I have the right to speak.”

Outside court, de Chevestre’s lawyer, Michael Farkas, said she has a “history of some psychiatric issues.”

“This person does not fit the profile of someone who is dangerous,” Farkas said, adding he couldn’t get an answer as to whether the liquid “was anything other than water.”

“I think it’s highly likely that it’s much ado about nothing,” he said.

Cops arrested de Chevestre (photo) shortly before 8 p.m. Friday after she tried to light what appeared to be a vodka bottle filled with an unknown liquid at Broadway and W. 46th St., cops said.

Her bail is $75,000 and she’s due back in court Thursday.
