Molly Brown calls King County Sheriff’s Office, says then-husband Josh Brown had grabbed her by the wrist during an argument, causing bruising and an abrasion. Brown is arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree assault-domestic violence.

APRIL 18, 2016

Giants re-sign Brown, who is coming off a Pro Bowl season, to a two-year, $4 million deal. Team president and chief executive officer John Mara later says he was aware of the domestic abuse allegation­s before the contract was signed.

AUG. 17

The NFL announces Brown has been suspended for one game for an unspecifie­d violation of the Personal Conduct Policy. NJ Advance Media reports Brown was arrested the previous year at his home in Woodinvill­e, Wash.

AUG. 18

Brown confirms that an incident with his ex-wife led to his arrest and suspension, but dismisses the incident as “just a moment.”

AUG. 19

Daily News reports that Molly Brown told police that the Giants kicker had been physically violent with her at least 20 times. The violence began when she became pregnant with their daughter in 2009, according to documents obtained by The News.

AUG. 22

Giants sign kicker Randy Bullock to fill in for Brown for Week 1.

AUG. 24

After declining comment for nearly a week, Mara breaks his silence and defends the Giants’ decision to re-sign Brown.

SEPT. 13

Giants release Bullock, signaling that the team will stick with Brown.

King County Sheriff’s Detective Robin Ostrum closes the criminal investigat­ion into Brown. Prosecutor­s send a memo to the sheriff’s office explaining that criminal charges will not be filed because Molly Brown is reluctant to pursue the case.

King County Sheriff’s Office releases police reports and other documents related to the Brown investigat­ion that provide disturbing insights into Brown’s behavior. The NFL announces that it will reopen its own Brown probe.

OCT. 20

The Giants announce Brown will not travel to London for Sunday’s game against the Rams.
