A GUNMAN shot and killed one man and wounded another in Brooklyn on Wednesday afternoon, officials said.

Shots rang out on E. 80th St. near Farragut Road in Canarsie just before 3 p.m., officials said. Bullets struck a 21-year-old victim multiple times and a 20-year-old in the right leg.

Police sources said the violence erupted when people in a white Kia opened fire on the two men, who were riding in a white BMW SUV with Pennsylvania plates.

The BMW struck and injured a construction flagman, careened over cones and came to a stop at the intersection of 80th and Farragut.

Security video of the scene shows the BMW running over the cones and bouncing off the side of another SUV in an effort to avoid other cars.

Two bullet holes were visible in the car.

A construction worker said it all unfolded very quickly.

“My flagger got hit,” said the worker, who declined to give his name. “He says he’s all right. They got him checked out.”

“He’s gonna feel it,” the worker said. “He said it looked like the car was obeying the signs. Then it hit my flagger with his mirror and ran over the cones. It almost overturned.”

The car hit the flagman in the back.

Neighbors said cops showed up right away and paramedics tried performing CPR on the badly wounded gunshot victim.

“There was a lot of blood. It looked bad,” said a block resident.

Medics rushed the 21-yearold man to Brookdale University Hospital, where he died.

The 20-year-old victim was in stable condition at Kings County Hospital.

The gunman took off in the white Kia and was still at large, police said.

The murder comes as the city heads toward a record-low number of homicides for the year.

There have been 314 murders through Tuesday, compared with 329 in 2015 — a 4.6% drop.

Shootings are also down — 945 in 2016 compared with 1,058 in 2015, a 10.7% drop.

In the 69th Precinct, where this murder took place, there have been five killings so far this year, compared with four in 2015 — an increase of 25%.

There have been 14 shootings in the precinct so far in 2016, compared with 16 in 2015 — a 12.5% drop.

The number of shooting victims has also dropped — 16 so far this year, compared with 18 in 2015 — an 11.1% decline.

Mark Brown, 15, noticed the bullet-riddled BMW, with holes on the driver’s side, as he walked by Wednesday’s crime scene.

“A guy just got shot. This happens a lot here, but not this early in the day, maybe at night,” he said. “It’s crazy.”

People who live in the community could only shake their heads at the police activity.

“This is a quiet area. I’ve never seen anything like this,” said a man who lives near the intersection, adding he was too scared to give his name.

“That’s when kids get out of school. Some of them could had been hurt.”
