‘Pizzagate’ threats to B’klyn joint

- GERSH KUNTZMAN Graham Rayman

Again, tough. As a New Yorker, I can share Hizzoner’s frustration. Being capital of the world is a pain sometimes — like whenever the streets around the United Nations fill with tinplated dictators with delusions of godhood who demand protection, free parking and diplomatic immunity when they fly back home after stiffing their prostitutes. Some, I assume, are good people. But the mayor isn’t supposed to whine about it publicly, because we’re the City That Never Sleeps, not the Village That’s Really Cheap. Clearly, de Blasio remains upset about the election. We all are. But that’s what shrinks are for. Work it out on the couch, Bill. Then shut up, stop complaining, and do your job in protecting our future President. AN ANONYMOUS caller threatened workers at a Brooklyn pizzeria where the Clintons once ate, inspired by a fake news story that claimed Hillary was part of a child abuse ring, police said.

The mystery caller dialed Roberta’s on Moore St. near Bogart St. in Bushwick about 11:15 a.m. Dec. 1 and told a 24-year-old worker, “You are going to bleed and be tortured,” cops said.

The next day, a caller rang the pizzeria about 5 p.m. and asked whether the restaurant had any ties to Pizzagate — a fake news story reporting that Hillary Clinton and her adviser John Podesta ran a child sex ring out of the Comet Ping Pong pizzeria in Washington, D.C.

The calls were triggered by a video posted to social media by someone using the handle “Drumstick74,” police said.

The fake Comet story became very real Sunday, when assault-rifle-toting Edgar Welch of Maryland walked into the restaurant and fired a shot.

He told police he decided to “self-investigate” whether the so-called “Pizzagate” conspiracy theory was true. No one was hit.
