Has ‘nothing to say’ about Jax comments

that.”

Jackson and Anthony have not always seen eye-to-eye, and the team president can’t seem to avoid offending people when speaking to the media. On Tuesday, Jackson pointed out Anthony’s flaw to CBS Sports when responding to a question about whether the forward can fit the triangle offense.

“Carmelo a lot of times wants to hold the ball longer than — we have a rule: If you hold a pass two seconds, you benefit the defense,” Jackson told CBS Sports Network. “So he has a little bit of a tendency to hold it for three, four, five seconds, and then everybody comes to a stop.

“That is one of the things we work with. But he’s adjusted to (the triangle), he knows what he can do and he’s willing to see its success.”

It was bad timing from Jackson, considering Anthony dropped a season-high 35 points in a victory over the Heat just hours after the interview aired. Never mind that the Knicks are rarely running the triangle these days. Jeff Hornacek supported his player.

“Sometimes we talk about maybe moving the ball and holding it, maybe it’s a second or two too long for a normal guy, but for Carmelo it’s fine because he can make that play,” the coach said.

Before the game, LeBron James was also asked about the Knicks president: “I’m not answering any Phil Jackson questions.”

ROSE’S THORN: Derrick Rose’s perfect attendance lasted until Game 22.

The point guard’s sore back kept him out of Wednesday’s showdown against the Cavaliers, but the good news was that an MRI showed no structural damage. Rose will travel with the team for Friday’s game in Sacramento, which kicks off a five-game road trip. Rose began suffering back spasms in the third quarter of Tuesday’s win against the Heat.
