Storm to sock & soak us
AT LEAST it won’t be snowing.
A powerful storm is headed the city’s way Monday, packing strong winds and heavy precipitation — but none of the white stuff.
If the temperatures were a little lower, snow would be piling up all over.
But, instead, New Yorkers are bracing for lots of rain, as meteorologists predict a storm that could dump as much as 4 inches on the city and cause coastal floods along the Long Island coastline and portions of New York Harbor.
Temperatures will range from the high 30s to low 40s.
Gov. Cuomo urged motorists to avoid unnecessary travel.
“I am directing all relevant state agencies to be on alert and ready to respond to whatever Mother Nature throws our way,” Cuomo said in a statement.
