ANGEL DELGADO scored 21 points and grabbed a career-high 20 rebounds for his 14th doubledoub­le of the season and Seton Hall beat St. John’s 86-73 on Sunday in Newark.

He became the first Pirate to score 20-plus and grab at least 20 boards in a Big East game. His rebounds tied Herb Pope’s program record, set Jan. 8, 2011, for a Big East game.

Delgado got his 20th rebound with 51 seconds left after a missed free throw and he pumped his fist before being subbed out.

Myles Powell added 19 points for Seton Hall (13-6, 3-4). Desi Rodriguez had 11 points and eight rebounds, and Khadeen Carrington scored 10 with eight assists.

It was a tight game early with six lead changes in the first 5:30, but Delgado sparked Seton Hall to a 20-point halftime lead. Delgado had 14 rebounds at the break as Seton Hall outrebound­ed St. John’s 30-15.

Marcus LoVett led St. John’s (9-12, 3-5) with 22 points and Bashir Ahmed had 19 points and seven rebounds.

Edmond Sumner overcame a painful left shoulder and led a second-half surge that swept No. 22 Xavier to a victory over visiting Georgetown, ending the Musketeers’ longest losing streak in three years.

Xavier (14-5, 4-3) had dropped three straight — all against ranked Big East teams. The Musketeers allowed a 12-point lead to slip away in the second half on Sunday before their injured point guard frustrated the Hoyas (10-10, 1-6) again. Sumner had a career-high 28 points in an 81-76 win at Georgetown on Dec. 31.

Sumner wore a support on his injured left shoulder and sat on the bench grimacing late in the first half. He had a jumper, a three-point play and a pair of free throws during a 12-3 run that put Xavier in control 70-61. He finished with 14 points.

Trevon Bluiett led Xavier with 24 points. J.P. Macura added 20.

Rodney Pryor scored 23 for Georgetown, which lost for the sixth time in seven games. POLL IMPLICATIO­NS Xavier dropped from 15th to 22nd last week after road losses to Villanova and Butler. A home loss to Creighton on Monday put Xavier in danger of dropping out of the Top 25. BIG PICTURE GEORGETOWN: Junior guard L.J. Peak scored 21 points and had six rebounds in the loss to Xavier on Dec. 31, keeping the Hoyas in the game with clutch shots down the stretch. The Musketeers clamped down in the rematch — he was only 3 of 12 for 12 points. XAVIER: Free throws again were an issue early. Missed free throws were a major factor in the Musketeers’ 72-67 loss to Creighton on Monday, when they went only 16 of 29 from the line. They drove to the basket and drew fouls on Sunday but were only 12 of 19 from the line in the first half, which ended with Xavier up 34-33. The Musketeers finished 36 of 49 from the line overall. UP NEXT The Hoyas host No. 7 Creighton on Wednesday. They split their series last season, with each winning at home.

The Musketeers play at crosstown rival Cincinnati, which is ranked No. 20. Xavier has won three in a row and seven of the last nine in the annual game.

Brett Bisping scored 24 points and Siena pulled away early in the second half and beat Manhattan in Riverdale.

Bisping was 8 of 14 from the floor and matched a game-high with nine rebounds. Marquis Wright added 18 points for Siena (9-12, 6-4 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference), which bounced back from a 77-65 loss at Saint Peter’s that snapped a four-game win streak. Lavon Long had 13 points and Khalil Richard chipped in 12.

Zane Waterman scored 14 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead Manhattan (714, 2-8). Calvin Crawford had 12 points and Samson Usilo added 11.

The Saints stretched their six-point halftime lead to 6545 midway through the second half. Wright scored seven points and Bisping added six during the stretch, and Siena led by doubledigi­ts the rest of the way. Bobby Ahearn scored 21 points with a career-high three 3-pointers, Timmy Rose added eight points and hit a go-ahead 3-pointer with 20 seconds left, and host Binghamton beat Stony Brook to end a five-game skid.

Lucas Woodhouse tied it at 55 with a 3-pointer, hit another 3 for a 58-55 lead, and Stony Brook led 62-57 in the second half after Roland Nyama’s two free throws and a layup. Willie Rodriguez’s 3-point play tied it at 62 and Rose’s 3 put the Bearcats up 6564 with 2:05 to go.

Bryan Sekunda hit a 3 with 49 seconds left and Stony Brook led 67-65, but Rose hit another 3 with 20 seconds left and Binghamton led 69-67 with 14 seconds to go. Ahearn iced it with
