Big Sean got a big scare at Queens event

- Thomas Tracy

RAPPER BIG SEAN got a big surprise during an album signing in Queens when a fan tried to accost him, officials said Saturday.

Police quickly subdued and handcuffed the fan at the F.Y.E. store on Myrtle Ave. near Senaca Ave. in Ridgewood about 7 p.m. on Friday, according to a video obtained by TMZ.com.

“What the hell is your problem?” the man could be heard screaming as cops rolled him onto his stomach and handcuffed him.

Cops say the 26-year-old man had reached out to grab Big Sean, but never touched him. He was given a summons for disorderly conduct.

“Some guy waited in line in the cold since 10 a.m., bought my CD (and) when I signed his CD and shook his hand he TRIED to hit me off guard,” Big Sean said as part of a series of tweets Saturday. “The dude was released from a mental hospital last week, has a long record of mental illness and was off his meds. Very serious issues.”

Big Sean said the man claimed he had written songs for Jay Z and Michael Jackson.

“I’m hoping he’s getting the proper treatment he needs,” Big Sean tweeted. “I wanted to keep the signing going but the store shut it down. Sorry it got ruined for the rest of the real fans.”

The 28-year-old Detroit rapper, whose real name is Sean Leonard Michael Anderson, was at the store to sign copies of his new chart-topping album “I Decided.”
