KANSAS CITY, Mo — Desmond Bane had 16 points, hitting three free throws with 2.5 seconds left, to help TCU stun top-ranked Kansas 85-82 in the Big 12 quarterfin­als Thursday.

The eighth-seeded Horned Frogs (19-14) blew an 11-point halftime lead, and still trailed 80-76 with just over a minute remaining. But a parade of free throws knotted the game, and Alex Robinson’s driving layup gave TCU the lead back with 31 seconds left.

GEORGE MASON 82, FORDHAM 71 (OT): Marquise Moore had 25 points and a career-high 19 rebounds and George Mason came back from a seven-point deficit with 36 seconds left in regulation before taking an overtime victory over Fordham in the second round of the Atlantic 10 Tournament.

Javontae Hawkins scored 23 points and Joseph Chartouny 19 for the 10th-seeded Rams (13-19).

FLORIDA STATE 74, VIRGINIA TECH 68: Dwayne Bacon scored all but two of his 17 points in the second half and the second-seeded Seminoles (25-7) reached the semifinals of the ACC tournament for the first time since their 2012 championsh­ip and will play Friday night against No. 22 Notre Dame.

NOTRE DAME 71, VIRGINIA 58: Bonzie Colson had 21 points and 10 rebounds and No. 22 Notre Dame beat No. 21 Virginia for the first time since joining the ACC.

INDIANA 95, IOWA 73: James Blackmon Jr. and Indiana buried Iowa under a barrage of long distance shots, and the Hoosiers used a huge second half to notch a victory in the Big Ten Tournament.

OREGON 80, ARIZONA STATE 57: Dillon Brooks scored 22 points, Tyler Dorsey added 21 and No. 5 Oregon pulled away in the second half to beat Arizona State in the Pac-12 quarterfin­als in Las Vegas.

Oregon (28-4) tightened up defensivel­y after a tight first half, holding Arizona State to 8-of-33 shooting in the second.

The Ducks will face the California-Utah winner in the semifinals Friday night.

IOWA STATE 92, OKLAHOMA STATE 83: Monte Morris was an assist shy of the second tripledoub­le in Big 12 Tournament history, leading No. 23 Iowa State past Oklahoma State in the quarterfin­als.

NORTHWESTE­RN 83, RUTGERS 61: Vic Law led the way as Northweste­rn went on a run of 31 consecutiv­e points in the first half of a rout of Rutgers in the second round of the Big Ten Tournament. Nigel Johnson led Rutgers with 21. UCONN 77, USF 66: Rodney Purvis scored a career-high 30 points and UConn beat South Florida in the first round of the American Athletic Conference Tournament. —AP
