NO BULL FOR DEL TORO

- Del Toro,

Twill soon be reunited — and they won’t be alone. With the school year winding down, both and (photo with President are getting in a Washington, D.C., state of mind, according to sources with ties to the First Lady and her son, who celebrated his 11th birthday last week. “Barron has been asking some of his school friends to come visit him in the White House,” we’re told. “He has said to his parents, ‘I hope there are bedrooms for my friends to come visit.’ ” According to our insider, Barron has “his own little wing” in Trump Tower, so space has never been an issue. It seems that his parents have convinced him that it won’t be a problem at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., either. “Kids at his school are already planning sleepovers,” says our source, referring to the Upper West Side’s Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School. We’re also assured that decorators, who are putting final touches on the First Family’s living quarters, are on schedule to make their end-ofMay deadline. That’s good news for an administration that has struggled to get anything done thus far.

We’re also told that Melania and Barron may have to tell those decorators to clear a little room for them in mid-April.

“It’s my understanding that Barron will be at the (White House) Easter egg hunt,” we’re told.

It isn’t just Barron who’s ready to come out of his shell. In addition to doing homework on which D.C. schools Barron will attend, Melania is preparing to assume her role as First Lady.

“Melania is ramping up her public appearances. She’s becoming more comfortable in her role as First Lady,” we’re told. It was announced on Monday that deputy press secretary

who worked on the Trump campaign, would be director of communications for the First Lady.

“She’s been getting media coaching to make her more comfortable speaking,” we’re told. “She’s ready. She’s doing everything but packing.”

A Change.org petition asking the Trumps to compensate New York City for the $146,000 it costs each day to protect Melania and Barron has amassed well over 300,000 signatures since Monday. At the Netflix premiere of the wartime documentary “Five Came Back,” filmmaker who serves as one of the series’ narrators, told us that World War II set the mold for a century of storytelling. “I think it’s the forge of modern mythology,” he told us on the Upper West Side. The “Hellboy” director (inset) pointed out that moviegoers know combat veteran James Stewart as the family man from “It’s a Wonderful Life,” yet regard John Wayne — who got a deferment during the war — as a hero because of the roles he played onscreen.
