Busted in spa hit-&- run

- BY JOHN ANNESE

A CUSTOMER at a troubled Queens spa was busted Sunday on charges she mowed down a security guard to avoid paying her bill, cops said Sunday.

Police have accused 24-year-old Areil McMillian of slamming her car into Deion Wright, 21, a security guard at Spa Castle in College Point, on Feb. 26.

Wright told the Daily News last month he was pressing its owners for months to hire additional security guards, and that his bosses urged him to confront the deadbeat customer.

“They just never really addressed it,” Wright told The News about his security concerns. “Honestly, I think they just didn’t want to come out-ofpocket for it.”

Wright, who hit the windshield and hood of McMillian’s 2013 Nissan sedan, was left bruised and battered, officials said.

Cops released a photo of McMillian (inset) on March 3. She was arrested Sunday.

Spa Castle’s owners on March 22 were hit with felony charges after failing to pay more than $1.5 million in taxes, state officials said.

In February 2016, the city temporarily shut down the pools at Spa Castle after a 6-year-old girl nearly drowned when her hair got caught in a drain. An 83-year-old patron died in a jacuzzi at Spa Castle in 2014.

McMillian, of East Patchogue, L.I., is charged with felony assault, leaving the scene of an accident and petty larceny.
