A FIGHT outside a Brooklyn apartment building ended with one man fatally stabbed and another on the run Thursday night, officials and witnesses said.

Police found the victim, who was in his 20s, stabbed in the chest on Rockaway Parkway by E. 98th St. in Brownsville just after 8 p.m., cops said. Medics took him to Brookdale Hospital, where he died.

“It was a young man, they were fighting and it got real crazy from what I heard. When he got stabbed the kid went down,” said Eddie Homsy, who lives in the building. Police have yet to make an arrest. THE DAUGHTER of an NYPD sergeant killed on 9/11 was among the new recruits sworn in as the latest members of the force on Thursday.

Brittney Roy is following in the footsteps of her hero dad, Sgt. Timothy Roy, who was killed responding to the World Trade Center attacks.

“Since I was very young, I grew up seeing heroes,” the 22-year-old rookie said Thursday after she took an oath to serve and protect in a ceremony at the Police Academy in College Point, Queens.

“It’s just always been a dream to be one of them, and especially what my father has done for the nation, the country. It was a true aspiration to be able to try and follow his footsteps.”

Her father, who was 36 when he died, was assigned to the NYPD’s Surface Transit Enforcement Division and due in traffic court when the terrorists struck the twin towers on 9/11.

He rushed to help and was last seen by the south tower before it collapsed.
