A great read on Guyana women
Though published during Women’s History Month in March, the Guyana Cultural Association of New York’s Guyana Folk and Culture e-magazine celebrating the accomplishments of Guyanese women is a great read year-round.
The late Carmen Enid Jarvis, an educator and former Secretary General of the Guyana Commission to UNESCO, Guyana Public Telecommunications Minister Catherine Hughes and Charmaine Stuart, the first female director of the Guyana Police Force Band are featured in the March edition (inset, below), created under supervision of editor Juliet Emanuel.
