If it’s your birthday

-

MYou must be your own boss. It’s easy for someone to write themselves a pass from making difficult moral choices, and even basic life decisions, delegating these things to someone else. Yet your life is about you. The time has arrived to determine your life path, take the necessary risk of doing so, and then take full credit for your success. You share birthdays with Orson Welles, George Clooney and Gabourey Sidibe. APRIL 20-MAY 20 Your mind is popping with energy, with ideas and potentially with anxiety. If you honor your creativity, the anxiety won’t be a problem. It’s only when you bottle up your thoughts that you get jumpy. Music, art, photography or writing in any form will relieve pressure and keep your flow going. MAY 21-JUNE 20 You can make all the promises you want, and the chances are, people will believe you. Just remember that you’ll ultimately have to make good on them all. In that case, you might want to offer less and deliver more. You don’t have to worry about your popularity. Focus on your credibility. JUNE 21-JULY 22 Nobody can tell you what to say or not say. You don’t have to argue this point; it’s not debatable. You don’t even need to put any energy into whatever the particular issue is; the less you exert yourself, the better. If someone has an issue with your viewpoint, let them provide proof. JULY 23-AUG. 22 You may be especially sensitive to what you perceive as the judgments of others. This, in turn, could take a toll on your self-esteem. I suggest you subvert this whole equation and remind yourself that nobody is your judge and jury. You set the terms of your own happiness. AUG. 23-SEPT. 22 You might want to get outside today, away from the grind. Your solar chart describes you as boxed into a cubicle, be it mental or physical; and there’s just one antidote for that: Clear your schedule, roam free, breathe real air and then do something entirely unplanned tonight. SEPT. 23-OCT. 22 You may need to give a close partner some extra space in their ongoing process of making up their mind. That’s OK, because today you need some space too. If you do your thing and let everyone else do their thing, you’re likely to mysteriously end up on the same page. OCT. 23-NOV. 21 Your intimate relationships are not a matter of community discussion, opinion or critique. Don’t fall for the widespread opinion that what is private is up for public evaluation. It will help if you don’t volunteer any information, and politely sidestep any conversations that might happen. NOV. 22-DEC. 21 Don’t get into petty power squabbles with anyone who fancies themselves in a position of authority, be it family or professional. Find an alternative approach to arguing, such as telling them what an awesome and responsible leader they are; then do what you need to do. DEC. 22-JAN. 19 If anyone pushes up against you or challenges you, don’t take it personally, and most important, respond politely rather than react. Even people who seem to have relatively little influence can make a fuss (especially if they have authority issues), and you want to defuse that sooner rather than later. JAN. 20-FEB. 18 Don’t get so caught in the details that you outsmart yourself. Be open to being wrong and, in turn, open to additional information or guidance. Your solar chart describes you getting stuck or jammed into a belief, concept or idea. For maximum happiness, take a flexible approach to life. FEB. 19-MARCH 20 A relationship partner may seem wedged into a corner and, as a result, not especially open-minded. You can inquire what they want, or what’s on their mind, though don’t take it on as a burden. By later tonight, that mood will pass, so keep it light and don’t make it a thing.
