Mount Saint Michael Academy

-

Mount Saint Michael Academy is one of a network of Marist Brothers schools in 81 countries. In the tradition of the Marist Brothers of the Schools, The Mount provides a Catholic, college preparatory education to young men in grades 6 through 12.

We serve 750 young men from The Bronx, Manhattan and Westchester Counties in grades 6 through 12. We welcome students of all faiths.

“At the end of his high school years, each student will receive a Regents or Advanced Regents diploma and be ready to succeed at the college of his choice. All he needs to do is to be ready to work hard,” says Brother Steve Schlitte, FMS, Principal.

Respect, integrity, perserverance, professional behavior, and accountability are the five core values that guide the Mount St. Michael Academy community.

All students should be challenged and stimulated academically, socially, spiritually, and physically.

Understanding, appreciating, and respecting diversity are critical components to the development of personal peace and community.

Students should be affirmed, recognized, and rewarded for their achievements.

Teachers and students are equal partners in the quest for knowledge.

Learning should extend beyond the classroom.

Each student should be aware of his potential and that we should strive to help him achieve it.
