Located right on the beach, El Coronado also has a pool and deck with beach access, a separate sundeck, kiddie pools and a beachside shower to keep gritty feet in your room to a minimum. “We have a double diamond pool,” says Richard. “It’s very large.”

During the week daily children’s programming for ages three and up will keep the little ones busy and entertained, with two activities each day and family fun planned for three evenings each week, like poolside movies with popcorn. RIchard has a cornhole tournament planned for the summer as well, designed to appeal to teenagers.

El Coronado is in Wildwood Crest, an upscale area just a few miles from the WIldwood boardwalk. “We’re close but not right in it,” says Richard. “You can take the kids down to a waterpark, or the rides, then come home to a quieter atmosphere. It makes for a more relaxing vacation.”
