had fun in the sun while partying on a yacht at Cannes. The 20-year-old stunner was also snapped cruising around on a Jet Ski. But it’s not all glitz and glamour for Hadid. She told the website Compelo, “People think that in between I have so much time off but I only ever take two days of every two weeks, at the maximum. I’m a workaholic.”

will have the time of her life when ABC’s “Dirty Dancing” reboot premieres Wednesday, with her playing a prominent role. And the former Pussycat Doll hopes this part serves as a springboard for bigger things.

“When the opportunity presents itself with the right roles I cannot wait to do more films, especially movie musicals, because I come from the theater,” the 38-year-old triple-threat entertainer (inset) told us at the Paley Fest screening of “Dirty Dancing” in Los Angeles. She feels the part will “absolutely” point her in that direction.

But remaking the 1987 camp classic in the role of Baby’s dance instructor — a character originally defined by — wasn’t easy. “It is funny. Variety calls it a “sappy, passionless, schlocky remake of the original, without even the iota of imagination necessary to expand upon the 1987 film.”

The review does go out of its way to say: “Penny is played with surprising grace by the multitalented Nicole Scherzinger.”

While Scherzinger looks forward to the next project, she assures us, “I am truly grateful for this role.”

There’s been a lot of buzz that Scherzinger, who won the 10th season of ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars,” is a frontrunner for the lead role in a film adaptation of Broadway’s “Wicked.” If that happens, she’s in.

“I would love to,” she said. “Who knows?”
