A TEACHER at a Harlem high school faces assault charges after he manhandled a teenage student, police said Thursday.

Cops say Abdu-Allah Torrence, 44, who works at the Thurgood Marshall Academy for Learning and Social Change on W. 135th St. and Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Blvd., grabbed the 17-year-old girl by the back of her neck at 4 p.m. Tuesday.

The teen’s mom took her to Harlem Hospital, where she was treated for a sprained neck, police sources said.

Torrence was charged Wednesday and given a desk appearance ticket, police said.
